How do you determine pricing?
Our jewelry is made from precious metals such as gold and silver, whose value is set by global commodities markets. Their market value can shift due to supply and demand. While we strive to keep prices consistent, significant shifts in material costs may occasionally require adjustments. This ensures our pricing remains fair, transparent, and true to the value of the materials and craftsmanship that go into each piece.
How do you approach sustainability?
From Source pieces are made to order. This intentional process ensures we use only what is needed, honoring Earth’s gifts with gratitude and respect. As we expand into a wider range of offerings, we’ve chosen to use lab-grown diamonds in order to help keep our environmental impact low and traceable. We apply the same ethical philosophy to our packaging, using only FSC certified materials. We are meant to create, but From Source will always advocate for creating with intention, without excess, and in harmony with the natural world.
Production and Shipping
What happens after I place my order?
Once your order is placed it is reviewed by our team and sent to our production partners in New York City. A mold is created specifically for your piece, and the design is cast in your chosen metal. After casting, the piece is in a raw, rough state with a matte finish. From there, it goes through a detailed cleaning, polishing, and finishing process to reveal the shine and beauty of the final design. It’s then sent to our studio for a final inspection and carefully packaged before it makes its way to you!
How long is my order in the production process?
Because From Source pieces are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for your piece to be made.
How can I track my order?
We will notify you as soon as your piece has been completed. Once it ships, we’ll notify you again with a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number.
When will I receive my order?
Due to the made-to-order process, please allow 3-4 weeks from the date you placed your order to receive it.
Does my order require a signature upon delivery?
Yes! Due to the value of your order, we require a signature to ensure that your jewelry has arrived to you safely!
Do you accept rush orders?

What shipping courier do you use?
We ship with UPS for domestic orders and DHL for international orders.
Materials and Construction
What is the difference between 14k and 18k gold?
The fundamental difference between 14k and 18k gold lies in their purity levels. 18k gold contains 75% pure gold, while 14k gold contains 58.3%. Because of this, 18k gold has a richer, brighter yellow hue, while 14k gold offers a softer, more subdued tone. 14k gold is ever so slightly more resistant to scratching, but both are solid, durable choices for daily wear. 18k gold is also a great hypoallergenic option, making it ideal for sensitive skin. The price difference simply reflects the higher gold content in 18k gold. Both are beautiful options—it really comes down to personal preference and budget.
How do I care for my From Source pieces?
Our pieces are crafted from solid precious metals. This means our jewelry is strong enough for daily wear! Our 14k and 18k gold require minimal upkeep thanks to their inherent durability. If needed, clean with a soft-bristle brush and a drop of mild, phosphate-free dish soap. Rinse thoroughly under warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Always avoid harsh chemicals. When it comes to silver, our pieces are rhodium-plated to prevent tarnishing. (Pro tip: the more silver jewelry is worn, the less it will tarnish as the natural oils of your skin act as a protective barrier to the silver) Store pieces in our From Source dust bag to protect against scratches.
Can I request a different necklace length?
Yes! We would be happy to customize the necklace length to ensure it fits just the way you want. Please note that the final price may differ from the one listed on the product page. Please reach out to custom@fromsourcestudio.com for assistance!

Return Policy
What is your return policy?
Most items are eligible for return within 10 days of delivery and will be refunded minus a 15% restocking fee. To qualify, items must be in their original condition—unworn, undamaged, and returned with all original packaging.
Please note that not all pieces are eligible for return. Items that include uniquely tailored preferences are considered final sale. This will be clearly stated in the product description: “Due to the custom nature of this piece, all sales are final.” If this text is not included in the item’s description, the piece is returnable under our standard policy with the restocking fee applied.

How do I initiate a return?
To initiate a return, please email us at connect@fromsourcestudio.com with your order number and the reason for your return. We’ll provide a return label and instructions. Kindly pack your item in its original packaging for your return.
What is your return policy for custom pieces?
All custom pieces are final sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges. We appreciate your understanding, as each custom piece is made uniquely for you.
What is your return policy for earrings?
For hygiene reasons, earrings are final sale and not eligible for return.
Is return shipping complimentary?
We are a small, intentionally driven brand and are unable to offer free returns at this time. If you choose to return an eligible item, the return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes—we offer repair services for pieces purchased through From Source. We’re confident in the quality of our pieces, but we also know that life happens. To request a repair, please email connect@fromsourcestudio.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. Repair fees vary depending on the nature of the work, and we’ll always provide a quote before moving forward.
